Saving your PageMaker file as an EPS
When it comes to printing images, there are a multitude of factors and steps that can affect and change the image’s quality.
Images can widely be categorized as vector or raster. Vector images are composed of basic geometric shapes and are mathematical in nature, allowing the same image to be re-sized without causing any sort of distortion. Raster images, which include digital photographs and scanned images, are made of dots or pixels. In general, a raster image can be decreased in size without issue, but not increased in size.
As you are designing your printed piece, there are a few rules to keep in mind. Your goal is to have a beautiful end product that shows just how great your company is. Big solids and bleeds with bright colors are always eye catching. When you are constructing your artwork, keep in mind that the bleeds should be at least 1/8 of an inch larger than your finished size. If you have a picture that bleeds off of the edge of the sheet, and it cannot be cropped to give us enough bleed, consider adding a complimentary color frame
